The Saturn Mach-1 Air Ring
is the latest generation of duplex flow cooling for blown film,
with all the attributes of the Saturn Maximizer Plus air ring. It
features an extended height chimney and redesigned bubble gate to
allow for customized control of the airflow at the lip. This
allows the advantage of matching the particular characteristics
of the producer's unique blend of polymers.
The advantage of the new design gives better control of the
volume and velocity of the airflow when running heavy gauge
films, while maintaining the control necessary to produce
improved roll geometry, thickness control and bubble stability.
This design will maximize the cooling rate and utilize maximum
blower efficiency with proven gauge control. Suitable for running
low melt-strength materials at higher blow-up ratios and heavy
film gauges.
