Future Design's relentless pursuit of quality leads to the innovative design for the Saturn Bubble Glide blown film tracking system. Bubble Cages have certainly improved the tracking of the bubble, but at a cost that makes it unattainable for some processors. The Bubble Glide system is our innovative concept that has proven to be the missing link in our quest for quality and repeatability.

Once the Bubble Glide system is plumb with the die and top nip rollers, the possibility of this unit being misaligned, is virtually eliminated. The Bubble Glide is engineered on the principle of two stationary rings and two revolving rings. The rings are integrated by vertical posts with customized levels of horizontal rods. The rods house frictionless thermoplastic contact rollers.

With a single lever, the operator can adjust the Bubble Glide to meet the exact diameter of the bubble. This maintains all points to be concentric with the centerline. The Bubble Glide can be automated with optional geared motors, which can be connected to a PLC for further control and repeatability. The unit can be fixed in the tower to allow for manual vertical adjustment or can be supplied with electrical elevating mechanisms. We can also supply a remote control panel for operator safety, automation and ease of operation. This allows the operator to adjust the height and diameter to suit any production requirements.
